Janusz ADAMCZYK, Robert DYLEWSKI The importance of local waste collection points in the system of construction waste management
Abstract: The management of construction waste is a significant issue in the context of the changeability of amount and types of occurrence. On the other side of the generation of construction waste, in accordance with sustainable development, should be recycling, or recovery, leading to the assumption of the overall (100%) use of the waste. The article presents the advantages of using Local Waste Collection Points. The analysis was based on the operating companies in the country engaged in the recovery and recycling of debris.

Agnieszka ADAMSKA, Kinga KASPEREK, Witold BIAŁY Analysis of solid waste rebounds and medical devices in prosthetics and dentistry
Abstract: The thesis presents the general concepts concerning. The work includes the methods of disposal as well as the import of medical waste incinerators on environment. The authors quote actual in Poland law regulations reoffering to the subject. The analysis of the main procedures relating to the effective treatment of medical waste is also discussed. The work indicates that the effective policy concerning the subject is of great importance due to its potential risks. The date set can serve as a source of information for later research on the topic. The thesis prove that medical waste is an important part of the economy. It also shows the possibilities of improving medical waste management.

Anna ANDRYKIEWICZ Evaluation and optimization of the integrated product policy of the european union in the respect to the promotion of thinking in the category of life cycle and creation of sustainable consumption patterns
Abstract: The paper assesses the progress of the implementation of the Integrated Product Policy in European Union. It presents the main elements of the IPP: LCA, ecolabeling, EMAS, green public procurement, ecotaxes and corporate social responsibility. It contains a study on the perception of the ecological factor identification as a criterion of consumer choices. It has also shown the level of the ability of identification products which has better environmental parameters, among Polish, Belgian and German consumers.

Henryk BADURA Determination of the danger degree of endogenous fire in goaf caving wall based on telemetry measurements of carbon monoxide concentration
Abstract: This paper presents a method for measuring the flow rate of carbon monoxide evolved into the air passing through the area of the wall. This flow is used as one of the indicators of endogenous fire hazard. The presented method is based on the so-called technical measurements which are possible to perform by the coal mines staff and with the use of available in mine equipment. The way of measuring cross-sectional area of excavation, air flow velocity, air volume flow and carbon monoxide was presented. The method of calculating measurement errors was also provided.

Wojciech BATKO, Renata BAL Autocorrelation occurrence in measurement results of regularly sampled sound levels in environmental noise risk assessment
Abstract: The determination of the uncertainty of measurement is a necessity of each control procedure. According to the limitations of the method of uncertainty of measurement determination; (recommended in the Guide of the Central Office of Measurements prepared under auspices of the International Bureau of Measurements); the necessity of analysis of time links of instantaneous sound level LAi values, which are used for calculations of the controlled noise indicators, occurred. The authors considered the problem of an autocorrelation occurrence in measurement results of the regularly sampled sound levels. The indispensable identification of the autocorrelation function for the controlled variability in the calendar year of equivalent sound levels L Di, L Wi, L Ni, I = 1,2,. .,365 – was presented. The necessary correction of the up to now solutions of uncertainty assessments - by determining the effective number of uncorrelated control observations n eff, depended on the autocorrelation function – was indicated. These considerations were supplemented by the numerical example illustrating possible differences in uncertainty assessments in the estimation of the controlled noise indicators values.

Jarosław BRODNY Analysis of influence of clevises on functioning of friction joint
Abstract: The paper presents the results of research on influence of clevises and their yokes on functioning of friction joint used in mining housing of corridor excavation. Apart from the construction joint, the main role of the clevis in friction joint is ensuring sufficient downforce among working profiles, which is related with the necessity of ensuring axial load in threaded joints. For this reason there was performed research on whole clevises and their yokes concentrated on determining the value of the load, at which they get permanently deformed. These deformations are the main reason for non-axial load of threaded joint. The research was done on the most commonly used constructions of clevises and the reinforced version of SDO29 clevis. The results prove that the clevises have crucial impact on functioning of friction joints and safety of work of the housing.

Anna GEMBALSKA-KWIECIEŃ Appropriate workplace environment managrment as one of elements of workplace safety improvement
Abstract: In the present paper addresses the issues organizations working conditions, drew attention to the work environment and the impact of its components, such as climate, quality of light, air pollution, an appropriate choice of color and noise in the human body working. Drew attention to the problem of the organization of work in the company. Shows the behavior of workers in hazardous conditions, and the situation of lack of information and lack of time. The issues raised in the article have a significant impact on the improvement of methods of prevention in improving the organization of work, as well as improving the communication process within the company.

Oliwia HASIUK, Witold BIAŁY Methods and manners for removing dust generated in the dental laboratory
Abstract: In this article the types of pollution in the dental laboratory and the methods for their disposal were presented. Work station in the laboratory should be equipped with:
• individual light source of working area of 1000 lux light intensity, remote 0.6-0.7 m away from the laboratory table top,
• back and forearm rest,
• mechanical local exhaust to extraction dust.
It has been shown, that very important issue in a dental laboratory is smooth operation of ventilation due to the particularly high risk of dust. The main risk in this respect carry along gypsum dust. Also acrylic, which is machined, causes intense dusting. The source of dust is the process of grinding metal as well. There were presented items of equipment and short self-performance mechanical local exhaust system, that meets the security requirements.

Jolanta IGNAC-NOWICKA Hazard assessment of safety on the work positions threatened industrial dusts and technical device in the prevention
Abstract: This paper presents an analysis of the exposure of workers in the sample engineering company for industrial dust. Presents the classification of industrial dust, the features that determine the harmfulness and effects to the body of the employee. Identified the most commonly used method of measuring dust concentrations to assess the exposure of workers to industrial dust. The study involved 10 selected positions of the various types of working tasks. Determined the position of the most exposed to the presence of dust in relation to the MAC values, the level of occupational risk presented too. Analyzed equipment workstations in dust extraction equipment. In addition, the methods of prevention for industrial dust hazards of acute toxicity presented in test workplace.

Joanna ZARĘBSKA The conventional and the ecological plastic bags
Abstract: The plastic bags are an inseparable commodity selling or adding (in most shops free until recently) by the traders at the time of packing shopping. Shops, especially those of a large area, offer customers a wide selection of plastic bags taking into account their diverse usefulness for the environment. The choice of a bag, however, depends on the consumer’s greenness and the knowledge of sales pitches used by the bags’ producers that are not always truthful. The plastic bags also constitute the part of packing and municipal waste and as such materials they are a serious risk for achieving the goals which are defined in the national legal regulations adapted to the Directive 2008/98/EC and the Directive 94/62/WE, and, most of all, they are a danger to the environment.
